Meet our newest Habitat family!

Just in time for Christmas, the Delgado family experienced the reality that dreams can come true with the dedication of their new home Dec. 9th.

Their Randolph Avenue home is the first five bedroom house that HFHWC has ever completed. Most of this affiliate’s homes have had three bedrooms, but this home needed to expand to provide for Diana and Marco’s five children Tanisha, 11; Marco Jr., 9; Tyrell, 7; Trinity, 4; Thalia, 3, and Marco’s brother’s children Dakota, 2 and Jaylee 1, whom they now have custody of.

Diana is especially looking forward to the entire family being able to sit down and eat together at their new table in their new dining room. This wasn’t possible in the small duplex they rented before they became co-workers with Habitat on their new home.

Diana and Marco completed more than their 500 sweat equity hours as they worked on their home and the Women Build house. They said they would like to help with future Habitat houses as well.

“This is just going to make everything easier in our lives,” Diana said. “It’s just great!”
