Cassandra and Family [back]

The 2008 Faith House was built with Cassandra and four of her six
children: Brianna, Bobbie, Bailey, and Braeden, ranging from eight years
to fifteen years of age. Cassandra is a single mom and has been working
at Toys R Us for nearly six years. She is now training for a management
position within Toys R Us.
It has always been a dream of Cassandra’s to own a home, but not just for herself; she dreams of owning a house that her children can always come home to, a place of security and comfort.
The Faith House is the fulfillment to that dream and after almost two years of working with Habitat for Humanity of Washington County the house is an actuality.
The children are also excited about their new home, and feel good about having contributed to sweat equity by getting good grades in school. Cassandra is proud to say that her children regularly make the honor roll, and hopes that one day they will attend college.
Cassandra is extremely appreciative of all Habitat is doing for her and her family. She hopes that with this opportunity she will be able to live the dream she has had for many years and make this house a home. Cassandra says Habitat for Humanity has been fantastic and very supportive; she feels like Habitat is part of her family.
