Women Build
Women Build brings together women from all walks of life and skill levels to help build Habitat for Humanity houses. Women Build challenges and empowers women to build safe, healthy housing where families can flourish and grow to be all that they can be. The program is not about excluding men; it is about including women. The Women Build program enables women to discover for themselves that they can build Habitat homes.
Women involved with our local Women Build program have built four houses and are building their fifth house in 2010 in Boonsboro.
If you are interested in participating in our Women Build program or just want more information, please contact Pam Meredith at womenbuild@att.net or call the Habitat office at 301-791-9009.

Women Build Raises Walls
On June 12 as the Women Build faction continued work on the house that will become the home of Dusty, Kim, and Dusty Jr. The family was among the dedicated crew wielding hammers during the afternoon shift. Women Build chairman Connie Creighton acknowledges that a lot of work leads up to the wall raising but that’s the day the rest of the world can see the fruits of the group’s labor. “This is a truly gratifying day. This is walls and a roof,” Creighton said.
